Media Management

Media management refers to the process of organising, tracking, and maintaining digital video files, audio assets, graphics, and other related media throughout the post-production workflow.

This involves tasks such as ingesting raw footage, creating backups, ensuring consistent file naming conventions, logging metadata, transcoding to appropriate formats, archiving completed projects, and making sure that all assets are readily accessible for editing, sound design, colour grading, and final output.

Effective media management ensures a smooth and efficient post-production process, minimises the risk of lost or misplaced files, and preserves the integrity and quality of the media.
