RAW

‘RAW' refers to a file format capturing all image data from a camera's sensor without any in-camera processing or compression. Unlike MP4 or H264 which are compressed, RAW files retain the fullest amount of information, offering greater flexibility in post-production.

This allows for more detailed adjustments in areas like exposure, white balance, and colour grading. However, due to their size and the information they retain, RAW files require more storage and post-processing before they can be viewed in their intended appearance.
