Any visual effects, colour correction, and final touches are added at this stage. This ensures that the finished product meets the desired professional standards for distribution or broadcast.

The sequence is matched back to the decisions made during the offline editing phase, where a lower resolution or compressed version of the footage was used for the initial assembly.
