‘Lordy Lordy’ wins J award
“Directed by Melbourne based filmmaker Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore, the music video for Emily Wurramara and Tasman Keith's 'Lordy Lordy' is a breathtaking synthesis of stunning location cinematography in Larrikia Country, captivating choreography, punctuated by unexpected studio scenes and transpositions, all seamlessly stitched together with some stylish and handsy post-VFX.
The video showcases Emily's community and family through her art, filmed in the place where she grew up and where her album NARA, which includes the track 'Lordy Lordy', was recorded. Emily says her favourite thing about creating this film clip was seeing all the dancers coming on set. Her mum, Red Flag Dancers, Uncle Jayden Drahm and her cousins all feature in the clip, which goes to add even more depth and meaning to the project.
Watching a video that is so true to an artist, who they are and what they represent is more impactful than the most masterful filmmaking, but luckily this clap has both!” - Full article
